Africa - 2005, Zanzibar

boys playing on the beach. It was here that it became apparent that we were in a Muslim area. The boys were allowed to play on the beach, swim, wear shorts. Not once were the girls on the beach or swimming. They were always dressed from head to toe. Jen & I wore our shawls while walking anywhere off of resort property.

Sea Urchins in the water. We enjoyed our walk out during low-tide. Wasn't so fun trying to get back to shore after tide came in and we were trying to avoid the urchins. Luckily, neither of us stepped on one.
